Around 2,000 vehicles seized for traffic violations

Doha: Traffic authorities seized around 2,000 vehicles for various traffic violation during the month of Ramadan, the General Directorate of Traffic said in a tweet yesterday.
In a video published by the General Traffic Department, Lieutenant Tamim bin Mohammad Al Thani from the Investigation Department said that the violations committed by motorists varied between creating noise, drifting, and racing, and legal measures were taken against the violators.
“Many complaints in residential areas were received and the necessary measures were taken, and patrols have been intensified in all regions of the country,” he said, noting that this campaign comes within the work of the investigation department during the holy month of Ramadan.
Lieutenant Tamim bin Mohammad Al Thani asked road users for more cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic.
