Cabinet approves decision on entry to Qatar during FIFA World Cup 2022
Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani presided over the regular meeting held by the Council this afternoon at its headquarters in the Amiri Diwan.
One of the topics discussed and approved at the cabinet meeting was the draft decision of the Minister of the Interior regarding entry during the hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Sulaiti, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, stated the following, after the meeting:
At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation given by Dr. Hanan bint Mohammed Al-Kuwari, Minister of Public Health, on the latest developments and developments to limit the spread of the Coronavirus ( COVID-19), and the Council affirmed the continuation of work with the measures and precautionary measures that have been taken in order to combat this epidemic.
After that, the Council of Ministers considered the topics on the agenda as follows:
First – Approval of two draft laws regulating the licensing of the use of a national product mark, and its executive regulations.
The draft law is consistent with the strategy of supporting national products, distinguishing them from other products, and giving them priority in government procurement.
Second – Approval of a draft decision of the Minister of the Interior regarding entry features for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Third – Approval of participation in the Hannover International Industrial Fair in the Federal Republic of Germany during the period from May 30 to June 2, 2022.
