Qatar has least number of Covid-19 deaths among Indians in Gulf: Report
NEW DELHI: A total of 4,048 Indians living in various countries of the world died of Covid-19 during the pandemic and Qatar has the least number of deaths among Indians in the Gulf countries, Indian media have reported.
According to official information provided by the ministry of external affairs (MEA) to the Lok Sabha, a total of 4,048 Indian casualties was reported from 75 countries.
The highest casualties of 1,154 Indians were reported from Saudi Arabia, followed by 894 from the UAE, 668 from Kuwait, 551 from Oman, 200 from Bahrain and 109 in Qatar.
Forty-three Indians in Nepal died of Covid-19, 34 in Nigeria, and the rest in other countries from all over the world, the Indian parliament was informed by the ministry.
