Qatar sets new Guinness World Record for ‘Most Nationalities in a Yoga Lesson’

Qatar has broken the Guinness World Record for ‘Most Nationalities in a Yoga Lesson’ at an official attempt held at the Indoor Football Pitch at Aspire Academy on March 25. The event was organised by the Indian Sports Center (ISC), which functions under the aegis of the Embassy of India. The previous record, set by the UAE with people from 112 nations, was broken by Qatar with 114 nationalities.
The organisers dedicated the award to the State of Qatar and the vibrant and diverse expatriate population in the state.
The aim of the event was to demonstrate to the rest of the world that Qatar, despite being geographically a small country, has the largest heart where the people of these many different countries live in harmony and peace.
Indian Sports Centre thanked the authorities and the Ministry of Public Health for their support to the event. They also expressed gratitude to the Aspire Zone Foundation, the venue partners, for their immense support and assistance. They also thanked all the sponsors, volunteers and the support staff whose combined efforts made the event possible.
Special thanks was mentioned to the Embassy of India, who co-ordinated the indoor event through the ISC
